Pages have been set up to support home learning for pupils whilst the school is closed due to the Coronavirus. Our physical and mental health are paramount during this period of school closure. We urge families to follow Government guidance, use the support that is there for you and to stay safe.
Each week, a Home Learning Overview will be uploaded by 8am Monday morning for parents/carers to access, along with additional resources and web-based links for pupils to explore. Should you have any questions or wish to request a login and password reminder for online resources, please contact the year group team via email using this email address provided. Each team will check the inbox on a daily basis and get back to you as soon as possible.
Please note that we are setting home learning activities to support routine and education, however we do not expect parents/carers to teach new concepts and understand that many of you are trying to work from home too. An example timetable is shown below, however please design your own around your family circumstances, for example reading could be moved to a bedtime activity.
At the very least, pupils should be encouraged to read every day, practise arithmetic skills and do some physical activity.
If you child has been given a log in for Lexia, please encourage them to access Lexia every week day to support their reading development.
Your child’s school has started using School Jam! School Jam is an app for you to download on your phone. Your child’s teacher will send quick, fun maths activities for you to do at home with your child. All the activities are linked to what your child is doing at school. Play digital games together, and challenge each other at practical activities! Watch short maths help videos revealing how your child is learning maths at school!
If you are already using the School Jam app, you don’t need to do anything. Your child’s teacher will send activities when they are ready to complete.
