Defining SEN

A child or young person has SEN if they have a learning difficulty or disability which calls for special educational provision to be made for him or her. (DFE 2015)

At Southwood, every child belongs and thrives through inclusive and adaptive support that meets their unique needs. Individual journeys are understood, nurtured, and celebrated in partnership with families.

Our school SENCo is Miss M. Veysi who is contactable via. the School Office. Our Inclusion manager is Mr J. O'Byrne (Deputy Headteacher) who is also contactable via. the School Office.
